Job Summary
Conduct coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, non-ablation electrophysiology procedures, and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures while verifying orders and administering medications. Perform treatments, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and facilitate timely patient throughput in the Cath Lab. Adhere to CDC isolation guidelines, aseptic techniques, and all hospital policies during rotations or assigned call days. Maintain skills, assist in orienting new personnel, and participate in unit budgeting processes to ensure operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Cardiovascular
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Cardiovascular Electrophysiology
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Respiratory Therapy
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Radiological Technology
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in EMS
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Previous Interventional Cardiology experience preferred
- Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)] licensure
- Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) licensure
- Cardiovascular Therapist (CVT) licensure
- Paramedic or EMT Licensure
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS through the American Heart Association or obtain within 3 months of hire
- Minimum of 10 call days a month
- Must possess upon hire and maintain one of the following: Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)], Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Cardiovascular Therapist (CVT), Paramedic or EMT Licensure
