Job Summary
Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, non-ablation electrophysiology procedures, and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures while administering medications and managing clinical emergencies. Prepare patients using aseptic technique, verify orders, and facilitate timely patient throughput in the Cath Lab. Participate in "Buddy" call during orientation, then take a minimum of 10 call days monthly after orientation, working a 36-hour week from 6:30 AM to 7 PM. Adhere to CDC isolation guidelines, maintain skills through annual competency reviews, and assist in orienting new personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Cardiovascular
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Cardiovascular Electrophysiology
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Respiratory Therapy
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in Radiological Technology
- Vocational or other technical school, certification or training in EMS
- 0 to 2 years of previous Interventional Cardiology experience preferred
- Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)] licensure
- Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) licensure
- Cardiovascular Therapist (CVT) licensure
- Paramedic or EMT Licensure
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS through the American Heart Association or obtain within 3 months of hire
- Minimum of 10 call days a month after orientation period
- Must possess upon hire and maintain one of the following: Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)], Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Cardiovascular Therapist (CVT), Paramedic or EMT Licensure
