Job Summary
Assist the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab, including preparation of the sterile field, selection and preparation of instruments and supplies, manipulation of cardiac catheters and guidewires, and injection of contrast media and medication as directed. Provide safe and therapeutic care by incorporating differences into the provision of care and using an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others while respecting and understanding other clinical disciplines. Use standards and guidelines for cost-effective care delivery and incorporate data to continuously improve practice. Ensure improvement in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning and serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.
