Job Summary
Obtain patient history and perform assessments via observation, interview, and examination. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies while providing direct treatment and management of cardiovascular and thoracic conditions through prescriptive authority or referrals. Split clinical time between the telemetry floor and clinic to deliver patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Document healthcare delivery and nursing processes in accordance with specialty standards and network policy. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program
- Board certification by the respective accreditation body
- Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
- Board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
