Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions through observation, interviews, and examination. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies while providing direct treatment or referrals as needed. Split clinical time between the telemetry floor and the clinic to deliver patient-centered care in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Document healthcare delivery in accordance with specialty standards and network policies. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students. Board-certified Physician Assistants or Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners with prescriptive authority are required. Salary ranges from $90.5/hr. plus depending on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program
- Board certification by the respective accreditation body
- Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
- Board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
