Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions through history taking, physical assessment, and interpretation of diagnostic studies. Split clinical time between the telemetry floor and clinic to deliver patient-centered care in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Provide direct treatment via prescriptive authority or referrals, document care processes per specialty standards, and participate in staff orientation and education. Work collaboratively with supervising physicians and a multidisciplinary team to expand individualized healthcare services for the regional adult population.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program
- Board certification by the respective accreditation body
- Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
- Board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
