Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions through collaboration with supervising physicians. Split clinical time between the telemetry floor and the clinic to deliver patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Obtain patient histories, perform assessments, order diagnostic studies, and document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards. Provide direct treatment via prescriptive authority or referrals to other healthcare providers. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance while maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program
- Board certification by the respective accreditation body
- Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
- Board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
