Job Summary
Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants will diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, split clinical time between the telemetry floor and clinic, provide patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, prescribe or refer as needed, document care per specialty standards, and participate in staff and student education. Collaboration with supervising physicians within a multidisciplinary team is emphasized, along with efficient, confidential care in a fast-paced cardiovascular/cardiothoracic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body
- Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
