Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) sought to support Cardiovascular ICU and cardiovascular/thoracic services. The role involves split clinical time between the telemetry floor and clinic, delivering patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history and performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, providing direct treatment and prescriptive management, documenting care according to specialty standards, and contributing to staff and student education. Team-based collaboration with supervising physicians and a multidisciplinary care team is essential to deliver world-class cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program
- Board certification by NCCPA and licensure through the Texas Medical Board for Physician Assistants
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification through AANPCB or ANCC and licensure through the Texas Board of Nursing
