Job Summary
Advanced Practice Providers will diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions under supervision, splitting clinical time between the telemetry floor and outpatient clinic; responsibilities include taking patient histories, performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, providing direct treatment with prescriptive authority or referrals, documenting care per standards, and participating in staff and student education; the role requires collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body
- Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
