Job Summary
Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants will diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, collaborate with supervising physicians, and split clinical time between the telemetry floor and clinic to provide patient-centered care in both out-patient and in-patient settings. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history and performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, providing direct treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals, documenting care, and participating in staff education and orientation. Preferred qualifications include cardiovascular and thoracic experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare delivery team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body
- Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
