Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider to diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions; split clinical time between the telemetry floor and the clinic; provides patient-centered, competent, compassionate, and professional care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history and performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, direct treatment with prescriptive authority or referrals, documenting care, and participating in staff education within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed through the Texas Medical Board
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
