Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions in the ICU while cross-covering the telemetry ward. Collaborate with supervising physicians to provide patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies; obtain patient histories and conduct assessments. Deliver direct treatment using prescriptive authority or refer to community resources. Counsel patients and families on treatment options and community resources. Document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards and network policies. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students.
Required Qualifications
- Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
