Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions while staffing the ICU and cross-covering the telemetry ward. Obtain patient histories, perform assessments, order diagnostic studies, and provide direct treatment using prescriptive authority. Counsel patients and families on treatment options and community resources, then document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students. Requires Texas Medical Board or Texas Board of Nursing credentialing, Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner licensure with prescriptive authority, and Acute Care nursing certification. Salary range starts at $125,000.
Required Qualifications
- Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
- Specialization in Cardiac Critical Care
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
