Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians while staffing the ICU and cross-covering the telemetry ward. Obtain patient histories, perform assessments via observation and interview, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and provide direct treatment using prescriptive authority or referrals. Counsel patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, and document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards and network policy. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students. Requires Texas Medical Board or Texas Board of Nursing credentials with prescriptive authority and acute care specialization. Salary range $125,000+ depending on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
