Job Summary

Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions while staffing the ICU and cross-covering the telemetry ward. Collaborate with supervising physicians to provide patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies; obtain patient histories through observation, interview, and examination. Provide direct treatment via prescriptive authority or referrals, counsel patients and families on treatment options, and document care processes per specialty standards. Participate in staff and student orientation. Requires Texas Medical Board or Texas Board of Nursing credentials, Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner status with prescriptive authority, and Acute Care nursing credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing. Salary starts at $125,000.

Required Qualifications

  • Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
  • Specialization in Cardiac Critical Care
  • Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
