Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions by obtaining patient histories, performing assessments, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Provide direct treatment and management with prescriptive authority, counsel patients and families on treatment options, and document care processes per specialty standards. Staff the ICU and cross-cover telemetry, offering patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students. Requires Texas Board of Nursing or Texas Medical Board credentialed Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant with Cardiac Critical Care specialization.
Required Qualifications
- Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
- Specialization in Cardiac Critical Care
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
