Job Summary

Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions while staffing the ICU and cross-covering the telemetry ward. Collaborate with supervising physicians to provide patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including obtaining patient histories, performing assessments, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Deliver direct treatment via prescriptive authority or referrals, counsel patients and families on treatment options, and document care processes per specialty standards. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students. Requires Texas Medical Board or Texas Board of Nursing credentials with Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner licensure and prescriptive authority in Cardiac Critical Care. Salary range $125,000+ depending on qualifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
  • Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
