Job Summary

Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions by obtaining patient histories, performing assessments, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Provide direct treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals, while counseling patients and families on treatment options and community resources. Staff the ICU and cross-cover the telemetry ward to deliver patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Document healthcare delivery and nursing processes in accordance with specialty standards and network policy. Participate in orientation and education of staff and students. Requires Texas Medical Board or Texas Board of Nursing credentials with prescriptive authority, specialized cardiac critical care experience, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Salary range starts at $125,000.

Required Qualifications

  • Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
  • Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
