Job Summary

Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions while staffing the ICU and cross-covering the telemetry ward. Collaborate with supervising physicians to provide patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including obtaining patient histories, performing assessments, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Manage conditions via prescriptive authority or referral, counsel patients and families on treatment options, and document care processes in accordance with specialty standards. Participate in staff and student orientation as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications

  • Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
  • Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various situations
