Job Summary
Cardiovascular Hospitalist role at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT. The CV Hospitalist team provides independent postoperative/consultative care for patients admitted with presumed primary cardiac conditions, working within the CV unit and collaborating with CV Intensivists. Responsibilities include managing heart failure, acute MI, myopericarditis, and primary/secondary arrhythmias, with care shifting to other teams if a primary non-cardiovascular condition is found. The role emphasizes building an in-depth understanding of cardiovascular disease and imaging, requires MD/DO with Internal Medicine residency, board certification or eligibility, and Utah licensure, and includes a schedule of approximately fifteen 12-hour shifts per month, with additional pay for extra shifts. The position offers a $15,000 signing bonus for external candidates, relocation assistance (distance-dependent), and a Value Recognition Payment up to $20,000 annually based on performance and quality goals. A comprehensive benefits package, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance, and CME allowance are provided. The role is based exclusively at Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, UT.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training Internal Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
- Current BLS Certification is required before the first day of employment
