Job Summary
Cardiovascular Hospitalist role based at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT. Requires MD or DO with Internal Medicine residency and board certification/eligibility; Utah license or ability to obtain; eligibility for Intermountain credentialing; and BLS. Hospitalists work ~15 twelve-hour shifts per month, with additional compensation for extra shifts, and a $15,000 starting bonus plus relocation assistance and possible annual recognition payout up to $20,000. The team operates within the Acute Cardiovascular unit, collaborating with CV intensivists and specialists; no ICU care provided by CV Hospitalists. Primary responsibilities include admission, comprehensive consultative service within the CV unit, management of heart failure, acute MI, arrhythmias, and coordination with ID, rheumatology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, GI, and heme/onc as needed. Cardiac-focused education is provided during onboarding. Eligibility note: visa sponsorship not typically available for this role.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training Internal Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
- Current BLS Certification is required before the first day of employment
