Job Summary
CV Hospitalist role at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT, practicing exclusively on the CV unit with Internal Medicine-trained hospitalists. Provides consultative management for cardiovascular patients, including heart failure, acute MI, myopericarditis, and arrhythmias, with no dedicated CV-ICU care by the hospitalist team. Collaboration with ID, rheumatology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, GI, and heme/onc; cardiac-focused education provided during onboarding. Typical schedule is roughly fifteen 12-hour shifts monthly with the team covering time off as needed, plus a $15,000 starting bonus for external candidates, relocation assistance (distance-based), and a Value Recognition Payment up to $20,000 annually based on quality goals and performance. Requires MD/DO, Internal Medicine residency, board certification or eligibility, active Utah medical license (or ability to obtain), credentialing, and current BLS. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training Internal Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
- Current BLS Certification is required before the first day of employment
