Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and medically complex patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, working independently and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Maintain current certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and obtain Advanced Burn Life Support within one year. Secure a National Provider Identifier and comply with Medicare billing requirements before employment begins. Ensure current DEA Registration for all controlled substance schedules and hold appropriate state-issued prescribing authority. Required Qualifications
- Board-certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Current DEA Registration for schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
- Appropriate state-issued prescribing authority
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certification within one year of employment
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in a cardiovascular critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse
