Job Summary
Cardiothoracic Surgery SFA needed for ongoing locum tenens coverage. Primary responsibilities include first-assisting on cardiac surgery cases, performing endoscopic vein harvesting with Terumo and Hemopro systems, and conducting radial artery harvesting. Requires coverage across inpatient units, operating rooms, and emergency departments with day shift, night shift, and mandatory call (1:6). On-site assignment in Madison County, NY. Collaborative work with surgical team and nursing staff to maintain optimal patient care standards for cardiothoracic procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical First Assistant certification/experience in cardiothoracic procedures
- experience with endoscopic vein harvesting and Terumo/Hemopro systems
- ability to perform radial artery harvesting
- availability for day, night, and call shifts with 1:6 call schedule
- on-site coverage across inpatient, OR, and ER settings
