Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Associate Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage atOR in Indiana

Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings with weekday hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by night call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 24-hour call on weekends. Morning rounding includes 5 to 8 cardiothoracic patients, updating care plans, writing orders, and coordinating with the multidisciplinary care team, while post-operative tasks involve chest tube and pacing wire removal, wound care, and discharge planning. Operating room duties include serving as first assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and performing vein harvesting using the Maquet system. Outpatient responsibilities include managing approximately 10 consults per day. All clinical documentation is maintained through the EPIC EMR system.
