Job Summary
Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by night call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 24-hour call on weekends. Conduct morning rounding on 5 to 8 patients, update care plans, write orders, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team. Perform post-operative tasks including chest tube and pacing wire removal, wound care, and discharge planning. Serve as first assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and perform vein harvesting using the Maquet system. Manage approximately 10 outpatient consults daily with all documentation maintained through the EPIC EMR system.

- Call Required
- Weekday hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Night call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 24-hour call on weekends
- Morning rounding on 5 to 8 cardiothoracic patients
- Updating care plans
- Writing orders
