Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Associate Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage atOR in Indiana

Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by night call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 24-hour call on weekends. Manage morning rounding on 5 to 8 cardiothoracic patients, update care plans, write orders, coordinate with the multidisciplinary care team, and handle post-operative tasks including chest tube and pacing wire removal, wound care, and discharge planning. Serve as first assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and perform vein harvesting using the Maquet system. Manage approximately 10 consults per day with all clinical documentation maintained through the EPIC EMR system.
