Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Associate Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at OR in Indiana

Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by night call and weekend 24-hour call. Manage morning rounding on 5 to 8 cardiothoracic patients, update care plans, write orders, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary care team. Perform post-operative tasks including chest tube and pacing wire removal, wound care, and discharge planning. Serve as first assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and perform vein harvesting using the Maquet system. Manage approximately 10 outpatient consults daily. All clinical documentation is maintained through the EPIC EMR system.
