Job Summary
Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant/NP sought to join Centra Medical Group’s cardiothoracic team.Responsibilities include supporting coronary artery bypass grafting, maze procedures, aortic repairs, and valve replacements; heavy inpatient duties with 1/2 day outpatient per week; two surgeons and three APPs; set OR blocks; rounding on patients; and night and weekend/holiday rotations. On-the-job training is provided within a collaborative, physician-led environment that emphasizes clinical readiness and long-term professional growth. Competitive compensation with base, hourly excess, and incentives, plus relocation and CME benefits. Location: Lynchburg, VA with a comprehensive benefits package and PSLF participation.
Required Qualifications
- Seasoned PA or NP
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
- Ability to work in OR and with patients
- Active PA or NP license in good standing
- Bachelor's degree required for PA/NP (implied by profession)
- Comfort with inpatient and outpatient duties
- Participation in weekend/holiday rotations
- Night call 1:3 to 1:4
