Job Summary
Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant sought to join a team performing CABG, maze procedures, aortic repairs, and valve replacements. Responsibilities include a heavy inpatient role with 1/2 day outpatient per week, setting OR blocks, and rounding. Work with two surgeons and three APPs, with Night Call 1:3 to 1:4 and participation in weekend/holiday rotations. Training on the job and ThriveAP transition-to-practice program support. Relocation and CME allowances available. Located in Lynchburg, VA within Centra Medical Group; comprehensive benefits package and potential PSLF involvement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a PA or NP in cardiothoracic surgery preferred
- Ability to perform in OR and inpatient/outpatient settings
- Team-based care experience with surgeons and APPs
- Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend/holiday rotations
