The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, operating room, and emergency department settings with day shift and 24-hour shift responsibilities including call coverage. The clinician will manage 4-5 patients per day during hospital rounding with an average of 1-2 calls per night. The program handles approximately 140 hearts per year requiring surgical support and continuity of care. Prescriptive authority is required for medication management and patient care protocols throughout the assignment. Travel and lodging expenses are covered for this locum-tenens assignment to ensure seamless coverage during the assignment period.
