Job Summary
Assist with cardiothoracic surgery cases, including approximately 10-11 heart surgeries per month and additional thoracic procedures. Conduct daily morning rounds and write postoperative notes for patients, with occasional duties shared with attending surgeons. Manage a census of fewer than 10 inpatients and attend follow-up clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays, seeing up to 6 patients per session. Provide weekend call coverage for this Level II Trauma Center assignment in California.
