Cardiothoracic Surgery

Seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join Monument Health Heart & Vascular Institute in Rapid City, SD. Role combines cardiac and thoracic surgery with some vascular care. Key procedures include CABG (including beating heart), complex mitral valve repairs/replacements, AVRs & TAVRs, complex thoracic aortic surgery (including aortic root), arrhythmia surgery (hybrid A-fib maze procedures), ECMO, open and VATS lobectomy, mediastinal surgery, carotid endarterectomy, lower/upper extremity bypass, EVAR and open AAA repairs. Also supports a robust EP program for electrical heart disease and dedicated structural heart offerings (TAVR, LAAO, PFO/ASD closure, MitraClip, TMVI). Access to a large cardiovascular team, 12 operation rooms (2 cardiac), 2 hybrid rooms, 2 da Vinci robotic systems, and active clinical research with extensive registries.
