Job Summary
Cardiothoracic Surgeon needed to join Monument Health Heart & Vascular Institute in Rapid City, SD. Role focuses on a mix of cardiac and thoracic procedures with extensive vascular work, including CABG (beating heart), mitral valve repairs/replacements, AVRs/TAVRs, complex thoracic aortic surgery, and arrhythmia surgery (including hybrid A-fib maze procedures) among other advanced cardiovascular procedures. The program supports a large, multidisciplinary team of cardiovascular specialists, robust EP and structural heart programs, robotic surgery capabilities with 2 da Vinci systems, a busy catheterization lab and extensive clinical research. Provides inpatient and outpatient management with shared on-call among CT surgeons, competitive benefits, and relocation assistance; opportunity for collaboration in a high-volume, academically engaged cardiothoracic service line.
