Job Summary
Board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join Monument Health Heart & Vascular Institute in Rapid City, SD. Mixed focus across cardiac and thoracic with some vascular care; collaborate with a large cardiovascular team to perform advanced procedures including CABG (beat-heart), complex mitral valve repairs/replacements, AVRs/TAVRs, complex thoracic aortic surgery, arrhythmia surgery including convergent A-fib maze (hybrid) and transcatheter/structural interventions, EVAR/AAA repairs, ECMO, open and robotic (da Vinci) approaches, and EP/structural heart programs. Shared on-call among Cardiothoracic Surgeon partners; strong emphasis on quality improvement, research participation, and comprehensive patient care. Required Qualifications
- Board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
- experience in cardiac/thoracic/vascular care
- familiarity with CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic surgery, convergent ablation procedures, ECMO, VATS lobectomy, aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR
