Job Summary
Board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join Monument Health Heart & Vascular Institute in Rapid City, SD. Role involves a mix of cardiac and thoracic surgery with some vascular care, collaborating within a large cardiovascular team to perform extensive procedures including CABG (beating heart), complex mitral valve repairs/replacements, AVRs & TAVRs, complex thoracic aortic surgery (including aortic root), arrhythmia surgery (hybrid A-fib maze procedures), ECMO, open and VATS lobectomy, mediastinal surgery, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular/ open aneurysm repairs, and related structural heart interventions. The program also supports a robust EP program, robotic surgery capabilities, a strong research component with active clinical trials, and a comprehensive quality-improvement framework. The role includes equal call sharing among cardiothoracic partners, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits. A dynamic, team-oriented practice with opportunities across inpatient and outpatient settings is described.
