Job Summary
Cardiothoracic Surgeon role at MercyOne Iowa Heart Center in Des Moines. Join a high-volume, innovative team with opportunities to support and grow LVAD programs, and to be a pioneer in beating-heart surgery, robotic heart surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, ECMO, VAD, TAVR and TEVAR. Key duties include 1st-call with inpatient rounding and clinic support, CSICU 24/7 intensivist support, and a surgical case volume exceeding 1,000 cases per year across multiple CV OR rooms including a hybrid suite and Da Vinci Xi/Si. EMR is EPIC; there is general surgery residency faculty involvement. Salary is $905,260 with a recruitment incentive of $150,000 and CME $6,000; benefits include day-one coverage, paid malpractice with tail, and a 403(b) match. J1 and H1B visa sponsorship welcome.
