Job Summary
Cardiothoracic Surgeon sought to join MercyOne Iowa Heart Center in Des Moines, IA, a high-volume cardiovascular center. The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible/Board Certified with energy and a passion for growth. Role includes APP first call with inpatient rounding and clinic support, CSICU 24/7 intensivist support, and opportunities to support and grow LVAD. Practice includes pioneering beating-heart surgery and robotic heart surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, ECMO, VAD, TAVR, and TEVAR, with 3 CV operating rooms (one hybrid) and Da Vinci Xi/Si. EMR EPIC is in use. General Surgery Residency Faculty involvement is included. Salary is $905,260 with recruitment incentive and CME, plus benefits and retirement offerings. Location highlights Des Moines and broader MercyOne Iowa Heart Center presence across multiple locations, emphasizing a mission-driven, community-focused cardiovascular program.
