Job Summary
BC/BE fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist required to join a not-for-profit system in Roanoke, VA. Responsibilities include managing a case mix of subspecialty and general radiology worklist assignments, covering a high-volume trauma center with MSK/Neuro/Chest/Body imaging (CT/US/Radiographs), and participating in tumor boards and quality improvement. The role supports light teaching of medical students and non-radiology residents, with optional radiologist-initiated research resources available. All Roanoke-based radiologists receive an academic appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and there is no requirement for weekends or evenings. Equipment and systems include SECTRA PACS, EPIC EMR, Powerscribe, Qgenda scheduling, adjustable workstations, and Siemens MRI platforms.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist
- MD or equivalent medical degree
- fellowship in cardiothoracic radiology
- facility for academic appointment (Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine)
- experience in general radiology and subspecialty CT/MRI imaging
