Job Summary
Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery Navigator coordinates and optimizes the patient experience across the continuum of cardiothoracic and vascular surgical care. Collaborates with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and external vendors to maintain excellence in clinical operations and quality metrics, provides high-quality education, accurate risk assessment, and follow-up to support optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program or school of nursing
- Graduate of a medical assisting program and CMA/RMA certification
- ASN, BSN, or MSN, preferred
- 1 year of cardiothoracic/vascular experience in inpatient or outpatient setting
- 2-3 years or more of prior cardiothoracic/vascular experience preferred
- Montana Licensure as an RN or LPN
- CMA certification
- BLS
- ACLS, preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with a wide range of individuals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of health care facilities and processes
- Knowledge of local community and surrounding areas
- Self-management skills
- Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Coding
- Medical terminology
- Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Criminal background check
- Drug Screening
- Health and Immunizations Screening
