Job Summary
Cardiopulmonary Patient Educator responsibilities include using clinical nursing skills to educate patients and caregivers about PAH therapies (oral, inhaled, subcutaneous, and infused) and coordinating care with physicians, clinicians, pharmacy operations and the sales team. The role involves joint care planning, supporting transitions to infused or inhaled PAH therapies, building strong one-on-one relationships with patients and families, delivering high-touch customer service, and performing on-call duties. Travel to visit patients will occur by car and airplane about 20% of the time, with remote work from home when not visiting patients.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license (OR) with ability to obtain multi-state licensure
- Two years of experience in critical care or high-tech hospital/home infusion settings
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Ability to travel by car and airplane (approximately 20% of time)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with medical/clinical personnel
- On-call availability
- B.S. or A.S. in nursing acceptable (Education: RN Diploma, Associates or B.S. in nursing)
