Cardiology VAD Nurse Coordinator

Job Summary
Manage clinical care for pre- and post-ventricular assist device (VAD) implant patients in collaboration with the Advanced Heart Failure team. Coordinate clinical evaluations for potential candidates, prepare presentation materials for selection meetings, and oversee discharge planning with follow-up consultations. Deliver education to nursing staff, patients, and community health professionals regarding device maintenance and safety. Contribute to policy development and maintain regulatory compliance by submitting data to agencies like the INTERMACS database. Requires an active multi-state RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification. Full-time role at Bell Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree Nursing
- 2 or more years of relevant clinical experience
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of Nursing
- current active multistate state Register Nurse (RN) license in good standing in state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
