Job Summary
Cardiology Technician I responsible for performing quality ECGs including signal-averaged ECGs and Holter monitoring for inpatients and outpatients, with responsibilities spanning data processing, preliminary interpretation in the MUSE system, Holter application, patient education, and ensuring proper billing practices. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and coursework in medical terminology, ECG rhythm interpretation, anatomy, physiology or related subjects; preferred 1-3 years of experience and Cardiovascular Technician Certification. Provides training to bedside/clinic staff, maintains equipment, and collaborates with physicians and hospital personnel in a professional manner. Work schedule is 11:00 AM–7:30 PM with rotating weekends and is in-person at Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of courses in medical terminology, electrocardiogram rhythm interpretation, anatomy, physiology or other related courses
