Cardiology Stepdown Registered Nurse

Job Summary
Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to adult cardiology stepdown patients transitioning from intensive care. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, development and implementation of individualized care plans, administration and titration of cardiac medications, continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation, management of cardiac drips per protocol, patient and family education on cardiac disease and lifestyle modification, and collaboration with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team from admission through discharge. Document care in the electronic health record, follow clinical policies and regulatory standards, and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability. Opportunities for clinical advancement and involvement in evidence-based practice projects are noted as part of Mission Health’s collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
- BLS/ACLS per facility requirements
- Commitment to cardiology or acute cardiac care preferred
- Ability to monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Experience with cardiac medications administration and titration
- Team-based care mindset and collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals
- Documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Dedication to patient education and discharge planning
