Job Summary
Assess and monitor patients during procedures including TEE, pharmacologic echo, stress testing, and diagnostic testing. Administer medications, document pertinent data, and maintain crash carts while ensuring safe, ongoing quality patient care. Provide follow-up telephone calls post-procedure, assist physicians with physical assessments, and perform pacemaker teachings and transtelephonic analysis. Maintain equipment in good working condition and report unusual findings to the manager. Requires three years of critical care experience, cardiac background, and current NJ or PA RN license. Primarily Monday through Friday, day shift with limited on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of professional nursing program
- Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of New Jersey or Pennsylvania based on work location
- ACLS Certified
- Three years of Critical Care experience
- cardiac background necessary
- Ability to monitor and administer IV medications
- Considerable standing/walking
- Frequent use of hands
- Frequent use of upper extremities to reposition patients, transport patients, and lifting supplies up to 25 lbs
- Occasionally stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level
- Seeing as it relates to general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision
- Also depth perception and visual monotony
