Job Summary
Assess and monitor patients during procedures including TEE, pharmacologic echo, stress testing, and other diagnostic tests as assigned. Administer medications, perform venipuncture, and document pertinent data while maintaining crash carts and controlled substance records. Provide follow-up telephone calls post-procedure, assist physicians with assessments, and report abnormal findings or unusual observations to management. Maintain equipment in good working condition and serve as a resource for co-workers. Requires three years of critical care experience with a cardiac background, ACLS certification, and current NJ or PA licensure. Primarily Monday through Friday, day shift with limited on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of professional nursing program
- Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of New Jersey or Pennsylvania based on work location
- ACLS Certified
- Three years of Critical Care experience
- Cardiac background necessary
- Ability to monitor and administer IV medications
- Considerable standing/walking
- Frequent use of hands
- Frequent use of upper extremities to reposition patients, transport patients, and lifting supplies up to 25 lbs
- Occasionally stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level
- Seeing as it relates to general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision
- Also depth perception and visual monotony
