Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive cardiology services at a high-complexity VA Medical Center, including interpreting transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms with intraprocedural capabilities for structural heart interventions. Lead an established program in downtown Indianapolis while expanding the Cardiology imaging team supported by onsite Clinical Pharmacists and Nurse Practitioners. Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule with light call, contributing to a patient-focused environment that includes advanced cardiac centers, Cath/Electrophysiology labs, and Cardiac Surgery. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of ACGME accredited Cardiology fellowship
- BE/BC American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Cardiovascular Disease
- Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia
- United States Citizenship
- Selective Service Registration (for males born after 12/31/1959)
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to interpret transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
- Ability to perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Intraprocedural TEE for structural heart interventions
