Job Summary

Conduct high-complexity cardiology services at a VA Medical Center in downtown Indianapolis, including interpreting transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and performing transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) for structural heart interventions. Expand the Cardiology imaging program while working within an advanced cardiac center featuring Cath/Electrophysiology labs, Cardiac Surgery, and a dedicated Cardiology fellowship program. Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule with light call and collaborate with onsite Clinical Pharmacists and Nurse Practitioners. Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of ACGME accredited Cardiology fellowship
  • BE/BC American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Cardiovascular Disease
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia
  • United States Citizenship
  • Selective Service Registration (for males born after 12/31/1959)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Ability to interpret transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
  • Ability to perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Intraprocedural TEE for structural heart interventions
