Job Summary

Conduct high-complexity cardiology services at the VA Medical Center in downtown Indianapolis, interpreting transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms including intraprocedural TEE for structural heart interventions. Expand the Cardiology imaging program while working within a team that includes Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Pharmacists. Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule with light call, supported by onsite Advanced Cardiac Center facilities for Cath, Electrophysiology, and Cardiac Surgery. Join a fellowship program with academic teaching opportunities. Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of ACGME accredited Cardiology fellowship
  • BE/BC American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Cardiovascular Disease
  • Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia
  • United States Citizenship
  • Selective Service Registration (for males born after 12/31/1959)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
  • Ability to perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Intraprocedural TEE for structural heart interventions
